Remember when cool music videos were on TV all the time? They still exist, just not on MTV. Here is one directed by Bevis Martin & Charlie Youle for Hot Chip.

The world’s largest record collection is unsellable
The Archive from Sean Dunne on Vimeo.
Paul Mawhinney was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Over the years he has amassed what has become the world’s largest record collection. Due to health issues and a struggling record industry Paul is being forced to sell his collection.
The collection is estimated to be worth 50 million; his asking price is 3 million. He’s received no serious offers.
Shouldn’t this be a national treasure?

Chip Kidd is one of the many great designers who said they were too busy to do our questionnaire.
Which is totally understandable, given he had just released a new book and was starting a band. This is the first music video for that band, Artbreak.

The 19th is almost here and so is Stereolab’s new album Chemical Chords, their first LP since 2004.
Part of the joy at the heart of any new Stereolab album is unraveling the many vagaries contained within the music. Their records are pleasant at first, but labyrinthine upon inspection.
