Steve Jobs quote in enlarged TextEdit icon

While attempting to find vector files for my 24-hour brand/symbol/icon timeline project, I ran across an enlarged version of the TextEdit icon. I was pleasantly surprised to see a relatively famous Steve Jobs quote in the design.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things.
Neat.

This was used as the voice-over in the Think Different ad campaign, but how do we know it is attributed to The Jobs? I hadn’t heard that before.
