Rare, large format Charles Eames lithograph
Red Modern Furniture specializes in limited production finely crafted furniture from the turn of the century to present day. We went scavenging for vintage furniture in downtown Phoenix on Saturday and saw more fully-restored furniture than you can shake an Eero Saarinen Knoll womb chair at. (Yes, they have that too.)
What really caught my eye though, was this very rare large format lithograph by Charles Eames, circa 1928.
Full photos and a description after the jump..
Very rare large format lithograph by Charles Eames circa 1928. This litho dates from Eames’ time as a student at Cranbrook and is entitled ‘Building the sets’. It is pencil signed and titled.
Only 3500$. And jealousy ensues.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the print itself, but I really want to know what the O stands for in his middle name.
